In our effort to continuously improve FiveSprockets based on input from our user community, we’re happy to announce a new release of FiveSprockets, which we made live late yesterday.
Video has become a critical component to communication. With FiveSprockets, we provide everyone with the tools and resources they need to conceive, produce, and market their projects. From feature films to shorts to corporate advertising to educational videos to more story-based home videos, make it better with FiveSprockets. And tell your friends and colleagues so that you can collaborate with them on your work!
Our new release focused on vScripter, our free scriptwriting software; vProductionOffice, our production-management software; and enhanced-communication across our professional networking features. There is a variety of new enhancements in this release, including –
- Inbox – We’ve added a messaging system to FiveSprockets so you can send and receive messages from your connections.
- vScripter Export – Export your scripts to PDF, Final Draft RTF, and HTML via “Actions – Export Script” on the vScripter menu. We’ve also made the importing process more intuitive and can import both Final Draft and Movie Magic scripts (to do this, first save your scripts in Final Draft RTF format from either Final Draft or Movie Magic).
- ProtectRite – We're very happy to announce a new partnership with ProtectRite for script registrations. ProtectRite is the creator and pioneer of online intellectual-property registration. You can access ProtectRite directly from within vScripter via the “Register” button.
- Improved Script Collaboration – We improved the user interface for our collaboration features in both vScripter and vProductionOffice.
- Storyboarding – The storyboarding feature in vProductionOffice is enhanced with the ability to: (1) add a variable number of images to a storyboard, and (2) view a storyboard in a slide-show fashion, sort-of like looking at a rough concept of a movie.
- New Content – We continue to add more educational content to the Community section of our site (http://www.fivesprockets.com/community/). We invite you to jump onto our community and start contributing your knowledge!
- Optimizations – We’ve made several site optimizations to make our rich interface even faster.
All of these new features are available to you the next time you login and we hope you enjoy them!

Improved Script Collaboraton?
Hey! I am a newbie- how does the script collaboration work? How do you choose who to collaborate with? Do they request, an then you allow them priveleges for specific projects??? Thanks!
Script collaboration
Hi Nick,
After you login to FiveSprockets, select vScripter from the left-hand navigation. When you create a story and then expand that story (so you see its script, details, etc.), then you'll also see an option for "Collaborate". Click that option and then you can give read and write access to other FiveSprockets users who are contacts of yours. When they then login, they'll have either read or write access to the script under their "Shared Stories".
Let us know if you have any other questions or comments.
Regards, Randy

creating new project
I'm trying to create a new project, but I can't choose the format, because I can't see part of the list...it's partially covered by the weight-loss box ad. I tried to move the ad left or right, or close it, without any result...help please. thanx
