We are happy to be announce a new release of FiveSprockets!  The biggest difference you'll notice is that we have collapsed "vScripter" and "vProductionOffice" into just "Projects". When you login to this new release, you will now see "Projects" in the left-hand navigation, and this is where you can add and edit your projects, which can, of course, include scripts and story-development data.

This change removes a few redundancies and potential confusion in our user interface, and lays a great foundation for us to add more and more features to our service. It also has several implications -- (1) we removed "Projects" from the "Profile" area since they are now accessed from the left-hand nav; (2) we moved some project and story/script details around in what we trust will be a logical layout; (3) our Storyboard feature is now part of each project (handy for story development, particularly with comic books); and (4) you can now chose to make projects public, but keep their scripts private.

Physical Attributes -- Although this was included in an earlier release, I'd like to mention that we've added some new physical-attribute details to our user profiles.  These are particularly relevant for you actors out there and the producers/directors who'd like to cast you!

ProtectRite Registration Service-- If you were not aware, FiveSprockets has an affiliate agreement in place with the ProtectRite intellectual-property registration service. You can access this service directly from within FiveSprockets via the "Register Work" link, which you will find whenever you have one of your projects open.  ProtectRite has provided their online intellectual-property registration service longer than anyone and have a rock solid reputation and process.  We recommend that you, at a minimum, register major and final drafts of all of your work.

Tips, Browsers, Issues -- If you have any issues with this new release, you may want to try clearing your browser's cache and then reloading the page. If you continue to have issues, please send us an email at support@fivesprockets.com.  Speaking of browsers, although we support all recent versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Google Chrome, we tend to get the best results with Firefox 3.x.
