August 7 to August 14: Squaw Valley Screenwriting Program
The Sixth Borough Screenwriting Competition is a way for Screenwriters to get their scripts into the hands of industry professionals with the possibility of having their vision make it from page to screen.

I'm working on my first screenplay, and the formatting is driving me crazy. Are there templates that I can use? I used to do typesetting, and the system would take straight copy and just pour it into a format--so easy! There just has to be a better way than all this clicking back and forth....
Thanks to anyone who can help.
Adapting books to screenplays seems to have been popular for some time. Has anyone ever tried doing this? If so, what was the process you had to go through? (i.e. obtaining screen rights, etc.) If not, would you try it?
Would love to hear tips, advice, experiences around pitching stories / screenplays.
Do you have a script/screenplay/theatre play that you want to improve, but don’t know how to do it?
You have your finished script. You think you’re ready to send it out to the industry. Then you realize you’ll only get one shot at it – your script must be great, the very best it can be, not just good. You should check it first with a professional.
In terms of money, this may be the best investment you can make in your career.
