That was the catchphrase about ten years ago, and the mission hasn't strayed. I agree there will likely be theatrical release for some time, but delivery systems are all about multi-function and versatility. To me, in five/six years, most of the world will be switched to comprehensive interfaces that will perform from a slightly larger, more "complete" tower or console.
So you still have #1 (but projecting from digital feeds routed through local servers), but #2 absorbs 4-7 (in some sort of fashion that offers "choice" to the consumer), with #3 going the way of vinyl: still around for die hard fans of the medium- or markets that have yet to be converted over entirely- but once they die off the remaining tech will go to scrap or the museums.
