Responsible for making the extremely detailed notes on every “take”, including timing, dialogue, action, costumes, props, etc., in order to insure the elements match with a smooth “continuity” between shots and scenes.   It's the script supervisor's job to make sure that if an actor is wearing a hat in one take, that they're still wearing the hat in the next take (assumign it's the same scene, etc.).
