I've just started trying out FiveSprockets and I like what I've seen so far. However, my biggest concern is accessibility to my projects 24/7/365/life.

The Terms of Use naturally include a Termination at any time clause with no liability for loss. So I'd hate to wake up one morning to find all of my blood, sweat, and tears vanished into the cyber void.

Are there any plans to provide backup for this data either as a download or through a third party provider? If so, I would rest much easier using FiveSprockets as my primary writing application.

Backups

Hi Todd,

Thanks for using our service.  All of the site's data is backed up on a nightly basis and sent off to a separate, secure server.  We keep the entire prior month's of back-ups (~30 days), and then also keep monthly snapshots forever.  That's what we do ourselves, but we also encourage people to save off material versions of their work from time to time.  Right now, you can do that by saving your script to pdf.   Eventually -- hopefully by the end of summer -- we'll have a facility that allows you to save all of your project data -- including script -- into a text form that you can store on your local machine.

We also highly encourage you to register material drafts of your work with registration services like ProtectRite, our partner (you can access this directly from our script writer via the "Register" button), and other services like the WGA.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.
