Hey, just took a look at this site. Great stuff! I will probably have more notes as I start using it a bit more but I noticed a few things right off the bat:

  • Need multiple drafts of Script, and often multiple scripts, within the same project.
  • Need to support multiple authors on the title page. In my experience, people are so finnicky about what they put on the title page, it's best to just give them complete control (i.e. just make it a text document), or at least give them five multiline boxes, one for each corner and one for the center.
  • Beat sheet is nice, but kind of useless if you use a different structure. Would be nice to allow users to specifiy their own template (and even share them, possibly).
  • It's going to be tough getting used to typing "Enter, a" every time I want to switch from dialogue to action. I'd much prefer if it acted like other screenwriting software, in Dialogue, Enter starts a new character prompt, but if you press enter again it drops you to action.
  • There's some display weirdness going on. WHen I switch from another tab in the script view back to the script, it briefly flashes the whole script in Times New Roman before flipping it to Courier again.
  • Storyboard editor looks promising, need an "Export to PDF" to be useful.
  • need custom parenthesis in Character cues (O.S.), (V.O.), etc
  • (SUBTITLED) should be a parenthetical (personal direction), not in the character cue.
  • It lost a line of dialogue for me once. I typed it, switched to another tab, and when I switched back it was gone. Not a big deal but that's rather worrysome. I'll reserve judgement on how stable it feels until I've written something longer in this.

Thanks for a cool service.

I agree but...

I actually enjoy the  fact that you have to press enter + a letter as a way to get what you need. Its much easier then trying to figure that one tab means this and two tabs means that and that if you get stuck and you have issues (like i used to have with other programs) you would actually have to go to the drop down menu to do it, further delaying the writing process.

One awesome feature that I have yet seem executed perfectly is the addition of a desktop version that sync. with your online version. Don't know if that would blow your budget over the water but it's a suggestion none the less. Anyway thanks for this awesome site!
