I don't have a + button after I do a person search. Here are screenshots from the screens I see after a person search.

I TOO AM HAVING THIS
I TOO AM HAVING THIS ISSUE...THOUGH I AM NEW TO THIS SITE WHICH MAY EXPLAIN THESE ISSUES. MY DESIRE IS TO NETWORK AND LEARN HOW TO MOVE MY ART INTO ANOTHER DIRECTION. ANY HELP IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREAT.

I'm logged in but when I open a friend's profile to connect with them, I see
* Viewing partial profile. To see full profile, login or register and connect with this person.
at the bottom of their profile.

Hi Adam,
After you add friends / colleagues as a connection (via the + button that shows on the right hand side after you do a person search), and after they accept your request, you should be able to see their full profile.

I am having the same problem
I am having the same problem when I try to learn about another author on this site. I get into a loop that keeps asking me to log in first, then I can see that person's page and complete profile.
I think Five Sprokets may need some expert input for site design. I realize that is asking something when the site is "free". but if the site malfunctions it could mean a quick demise of this effort.
