I've tried repeatedly to upload my Word doc but it does not appear. And there's a thing says the document is locked and when I unlock it, it says it's Read Only and when I click on that, it goes back to saying it's locked. still does not appear. Please help. This is very frustrating and I've got a director nudging me to get this into format asap. Thank you.
Hi. I'm having the same problem calling up work that I did online, not in Word. I get the same error messages.
I'm especially interested in retrieving a beat sheet that I spent a good bit of time on, Hope you can help. Thanks--
Maggie
I'm also unable to share/unlock a document in order to write with partners. Same issue, I push the button to unlock and it says Read only, etc.
Please help. I'd love to start using your site, but unless I can collaborate it makes no sense.

Ah, the mystery has been solved. Apparently, in order for another writer to make changes to the script, one must click the button and unlock it. So, the other writer takes over and makes changes, but why can't I see them? I have to close the document and re-open to see the changes another writer made. And then I have to unlock again for them to resume writing. There is no way to refresh or know what they are working on? Not exactly collaborative is it?
I was really hoping for the solution to writing in real-time with three writers on a team, but this ain't it. If I need another writer to look at a script I have made changes to I can email it to them. What we need is the ability to have one writer making changes to the script while the others watch in real time. This way the group can discuss, via skype or whatever and then see the writing happen while the discussion goes on.
Oh well. Maybe one day.
Hi Mary,
We do not support importing from MS Word, or cutting and pasting from Word to our editor. What you might try is saving your script from MS Word to RTF format (using the "Save As" command) in Word, and then import that resultant RTF file into FiveSprockets. We'd also recommend that you do that in a new FiveSprockets project.
