In this week's Script Bits, we're giving you inside info on Quentin Tarantino's next film,

Scripts Still Disappearing.

My script page will not save past the first page. I've re-typed it three times and was careful to save everything. I close everything and go back - it may be there the first time. The next day, gone.

I need to use something else, unfortunately. this has cost me days, and there seems to be no answer since 2009, that solves this. If anyone knows different, please share. Thanks.

A little request for some fun Manga/Comic Script writing

Okay, this site needed some more traffic, so I thought I'd kick in and help that happen.

Pretty much, I want to do a collaboration with about three artists and script writers for a comic/manga. Sound cool? If you're interested, just post. We'll get the grit down later. Right now I just want to create a little posting web for those who're interested.

By the way, I suck at writing, but this site is very good for getting thoughts down onto digital paper.

Can't export or print script

I'm trying out this site and it's great! However, I wrote a script up in the script editor and at frst I could print it and export it with no problems, but now it isn't working. When I push the export button, nothing happens. When I try to print to PDF, a big "Internal Error" pops up. Any chance this will be fixed? Or is there something I'm doing wrong now?

Script Coverage

A detailed review of a script with a recommendation.

Script coverage is a written document that provides a detailed review of a script -- typically a screenplay -- and includes the reviewer's recommendation on what to do with the script.   The recommendation is often one of "Recommend", "Do Not Recommend", or "Maybe".

Script Supervisor

Keeps detailed notes on every take.

Responsible for making the extremely detailed notes on every “take”, including timing, dialogue, action, costumes, props, etc., in order to insure the elements match with a smooth “continuity” between shots and scenes.   It's the script supervisor's job to make sure that if an actor is wearing a hat in one take, that they're still wearing the hat in the next take (assumign it's the same scene, etc.).

What's the first thing a line producer does?

Say you're a line producer and you just got assigned to a film (short or feature).   You've been asked to look at the script and break it down.   What is the first thing that you do?  I mean, obviously you read the script, but what are you logging in your mind when you read it?   Are you looking for places where efficiencies can be found?   Are you looking for things that could be cut w/o losing the story?

How to Spot Product Placement Opportunities in Your Script

How do you identify when you’ve got an opportunity for product placement in your script? It’s pretty easy! I’ll teach you how I evaluated scripts for product placement both as an indie film producer (I secured over 15 products for one short film!) and as an advertising executive (I reviewed proposals from Star Wars, Shrek, and others).
